We are pleased to have Frances back for her second season as a hurdles and sprints coach for Royal City. Frances began her running career with the Coquitlam Cheetahs when she was 9 years old. There she trained under Percy Perry. While a BCJD, she achieved many top tens. She continued her track career through high school, where she specialized in distance hurldles, along with sprint hurdles. Frances also competed in back to back BC Games in 1997 and 1998.
Coaches - Margaret Stewart - Track Rascals
This is Margaret's third season leading our popular Track Rascals group. Her infectious enthusiasm and energy are a perfect match for our growing group of 6 to 8 year-old athletes who are constantly on the move! With a program based on the Run, Jump and Throw model promoted by B.C. Athletics, Margaret teaches the youngsters the basic skills needed for most sports activities, including track and field. Games and relays are added to the mix to round out the sessions.
Coaches - Sean Dixon - Distance
Sean is a long time avid runner and past president of Royal City Track. He has and continues to run in many half and full marathon distance races himself. He has served with the club for the previous five years in various capacities, including coaching our athletes in mid-level distance training and cross-country. Sean has level 1 coaching certification for track and field. His continous encouragement to our athletes and dedication to the club are valued assets to Royal City Track.

Zoltan is a valued member of our coaching team, and is about to enter his third season with Royal City Track. His international training and competition has given him valuable experience which he has earned him credibility and respect. Still an excellent jumper, Zoltan has found a home with our club to train our young jumpers and is starting his fourth season as jumps coach.
He was a member of the Hungarian National Juvenile Track and Field Team, the 1992 Hungarian National Juvenile championships silver medalist and the 1994 Hungarian National High schools Championships Gold medalist.
